Whatcom Transportation Authority will offer free rides to everybody next week, and the agency will provide a special late-returning shuttle from the Northwest Washington Fair.

Free rides will be offered Aug. 16-22 as part of the annual free-fare week on all routes except for the Route 80X to Mount Vernon

The extra late-returning shuttle from the Lynden Fairgrounds will depart at 10 p.m. from the Fairway Center, across Front Street from the fairgrounds, and arrive at the Cordata Station and then the Bellingham downtown station.
