LYNDEN - Just a few tickets remain for Foreigner's concert at next week's Northwest Washington Fair.

The last few tickets are expected to sell out within the next day or two, said Jim Baron, fair manager. The Foreigner concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, and tickets cost between $29 and $33 if purchased online.

The demolition derby and concerts by Gaither Vocal Band and Clint Black are also well on their way to selling out, Baron said.

Gaither Vocal Band performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, with ticket prices from $34 to $38. Clint Black plays at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, with ticket prices from $34 to $38.

The afternoon demolition derby begins at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, with the evening derby following at 7 that evening. Ticket prices range from $12 to $16 for the afternoon derby and $17 to $21 for the evening derby if purchased online.

Emerson Drive, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, will have some free seating in addition to pay tickets. Ticket prices range from $24 to $31.

Traditionally, the fair reserves free seats for at least one concert each year. People must still pay fair admission, but once inside the fair they can view the concert for free, Baron said.

Free seating for Emerson Drive is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Grandstand gates open 30 minutes prior to the start of the concert.

It is too early to tell if the freestyle motocross event, featuring the godfather of motocross Mike Metzger, will sell out, but plenty of tickets are still available, Baron said.

The motocross event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, with ticket prices from $12 to $23.

Tickets for all grandstand events can be purchased online at nwwafair.com/tickets, by phone at 354-7777 or at the fair's box office, 1755 Front St.

Concert times were incorrect in an earlier version of this story, which was corrected Aug. 14, 2009.
