Tractor slides off Chuckanut Drive; lane closed

One lane of Chuckanut Drive south of Bellingham has been closed after a tractor tipped and slid off the edge of the road shoulder.

Two Bellingham schools locked down after rifle threat

BELLINGHAM — Squalicum High and Northern Heights Elementary schools resumed normal operations at 10:45 a.m. after being locked down for a gun threat, said Tanya Rowe, spokeswoman for the Bellingham School District.
