Thumbs up - To downtown merchants pushing to clean up cigarette butts on downtown sidewalks. We encourage smokers to find a safe, clean way to dispose of their waste.
Thumbs Down - To vandals damaging cars in Bellingham neighborhoods. Police say windows in at least eight cars were broken last week. We hope the culprits are caught.
