 North Cascades Highway reopens
Department of Transportation crews have been working since March to clear North Cascades Highway -- a scenic drive from Ross Lake in eastern Whatcom County to Winthrop. Crews work from both sides of the pass to clear snow, digging down from the top as much as 50 feet to reach the roadway.
