Foothills Garden Tour benefits Deming Library

Six private gardens in eastern Whatcom County are on display in the Foothills Garden Tour, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20.

The variety of features include ponds, stunning mountain views, an arboretum of mature trees, and many vegetable and flower gardens. Garden art by local artists is on display and on sale at three of the gardens, and Van Zandt Hall has arts and crafts.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the days of the tour. Proceeds benefit Deming Library. Details: 360-592-5456, demingfriends.org.
