Gaiam no-slip towel great for hot yoga

McClatchy-Tribune News ServiceJuly 17, 2014

Sometimes when you're heading to the yoga studio, you don't want to lug around a bulky foam mat or use a cumbersome yoga bag. Gaiam's No Slip Yoga Towel is a good alternative and can pack up into any bag for easy portability, whether you're commuting or on vacation.

And unlike traditional yoga mats, the towel is made from a microfiber material that wicks sweat and dries quickly, which is especially useful for those performing the hot yoga so trendy right now. You won't slip and slide all over hard surfaces either. The towel has a rubber backing that grips the floor and also gives feet some grip in difficult poses. Made for easy carry, it's obviously not as thick as a traditional mat; however, you can stack the towel on top of a mat for an absorbent surface.

The towel measures 68 inches long by 24 inches wide and can be rolled or folded. It's made from 65 percent polyester and 35 percent nylon and is machine washable.
