Woodmansee's home run leads Bells to win

The Bellingham Bells used a three-run blast from Colby Woodmansee and strong starting pitching from Eder Erives to defeat the Victoria HarbourCats 3-1 on Tuesday, July 15, at Joe Martin Field in a West Coast League matchup.

Woodmansee's home run in the bottom of the fourth scored Walker Olis Eric Webber, backing the strong outing by Erives, who didn't allow a hit in five innings of work. The bullpen work of Moises Ceja, Dan Ludwig and David Bigelow closed out the remaining four innings to earn the win.

Bellingham, with the win, improves to 25-6, holding a 12.5-game lead over Victoria in the WCL standings.

The two teams face again at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Joe Martin.
