Writer Aminta Arrington to discuss book about her family's move to China


Author Aminta Arrington will visit Lynden Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, and Ferndale Library at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20.

Arrington has written "Home is a Roof Over a Pig: An American Family's Journey in China," a candid and lively memoir about family, adoption, and belonging.

Through an extraordinary decision that changed their family identity and lifestyle, Arrington and her husband moved with their children "in search of the life their adopted daughter had lost."

"Home is a Roof Over a Pig" is a book for travel enthusiasts, families looking to adopt a child, and people looking for a fresh perspective on China.

Arrington, who hails from Lynden, has a master's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and studied at Waseda University in Tokyo.
