Disputes global warming data

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJuly 13, 2014

It is amazing how the world got carried away around the end of the 20th century by the panic over global warming. This was a result of what I believe to be manipulating official temperature data in one of the world's most influential climate records, the U.S. surface temperature records published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

In recent years, NOAA's U.S. Historical Climatology Network I believe has been manipulating its record by replacing real temperatures with data "fabricated" by computer models thus downgrading earlier temperatures and exaggerating those from recent decades, giving the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is shown by the "actual" data. If one compares the currently published temperature graphs with those based only on temperatures measured at the time you will find that the U.S. has actually been cooling since the 1930s-the hottest decade on record. The latest graph, with half of it based on what I believe to be "fabricated" data, shows it has been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century. Baloney!

Any theory needing to rely so consistently on manipulating the evidence must be looked on not as science but as a case study in the aberrations of group psychology.
