The Bellingham Bells' dominance over West Coast League competition continued after a 7-4 win over the Kelowna Falcons on Friday, July 11, at Elks Stadium.
With the win, Bellingham improved to 22-6 overall, widening its margin atop the WCL to 10 games over the Victoria HarbourCats.
Bells starter Aaron Sandefur pitched 7 2/3 innings, striking out 11 in his fourth win of the season.
Bellingham's offense got him some early run support, scoring in each of the first four innings.
The Bells broke the game open was in the fourth when Chris Baker and Dustin Breshears ignited a rally by hitting back-to-back RBI singles followed by Baker scoring on a sac fly by Dallas Carroll and Breshears scoring on an error by Kevin Biro.
Kelowna finally got to Sandefur with a two-run fifth, tacking on two more in the eighth, but Moises Ceja came in and pitched the final 1 1/3 innings to close it out.
