Joy of Pilates & Fitness to host open house during Sunnyland STOMP!

Here's a news release from Joy of Pilates, for those who are heading out to Sunnyland STOMP! on Saturday, July 12:

Joy of Pilates & Fitness is celebrating their Open House and 6th year anniversary during this year's Sunnyland STOMP!  Joy of Pilates, a fully equipped Pilates Studio, will be celebrating and opening their studio to the public on Saturday July 12th from 4-8pm, in conjunction with the Sunnyland STOMP and Art Walk. The general public is invited to come check out the studio, enjoy refreshments, view local artists on display, get a free chair massage, and win door prizes. The party is free and families are welcome.

The studio is excited to be offering refreshments from Evolve Truffles, Maniac Roasting Coffee and Icing on the Cake. Massage Therapists Bob Silverman and Kate Tomlin will be offering free chair massages.  Artwork on display will include photography by Nathaniel Breaux and April Claxton, jewelry by Jean Magers of Kiss Jewelry Design, paintings from Cheryl Ford and mixed media assemblages by Cori Litorja.   

Joy Instructors will be present to answer questions, as will Body Amore owner Lara Pellegrini and Yoga Instructor Joani Glasser.

Raffle and door prizes from local Sunnyland and Bellingham establishments – RedBoots Designs, SpinCycle Yarns, Otion-The Soap Bar, Sprouting Earth Designs, Kulshan Brewery, Maniac Roasting Coffee and more – will be given away. 

The studio at 2130 Grant Street offers separate rooms for Mat and Machine classes and Personal Training. As well as another private space for Therapy/Massage.  There is ample free parking, an abundance of sunshine, new client specials and classes for all levels.  

Joy’s staff has over eighty-five years of combined experience in fitness and health. Thanks to this experience, clients are able to work with instructors who understand and care about their individual needs. “Pilates is a full-body functional training regime that focuses on core strength, posture and stability which transitions into our daily lives,” says Senior Pilates Instructor Jen McBeath.
