Bellingham library's Play Lab features creative collaboration

Help your children experience the art of creative collaboration with a free drop-in Play Lab from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave.

It's an event held once every year families with children 3 and up, said Bethany Hoglund, head of children's services.

"It's a pretty fun program," Hoglund said. " (An instructor) brings everyday materials and uses them as a learning tool. She really urges a sense community and that we learn through working with others."

Last year, participants made a giraffe, a unicorn and devised an obstacle course, Hoglund said. It will be held on the lawn behind the library if the weather is nice; otherwise meet in the Children's Library downstairs.
