OSU's Way nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year

— Oklahoma State track and field athlete Caitlin Way has been nominated for the 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

The Big 12 has announced that Way and Bailey Webster of the University of Texas are the conference's two nominees for the award that recognizes achievements in athletics, academics, service and leadership.

Way is a two-time All-Big 12 selection in the weight and the hammer throws. She also graduated with a 4.0 grade-point-average with a degree in physiology, served as vice president and president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was a member of campus organizations, and worked with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Harvest II Food Drive and other community projects.

The winner of the award will be announced Oct. 19.
