The Blind Boys of Alabama will perform at Lincoln Theatre, 712 S. First St., Mount Vernon, at 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 their first appearance at the theater since their sold-out concert five years ago.

The Blind Boys of Alabama will perform at Lincoln Theatre, 712 S. First St., Mount Vernon, at 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, their first appearance at the theater since their sold-out concert five years ago.

The five-time Grammy-winning soul gospel group from Alabama first sang together in 1944. Since then, the group's output has spanned seven decades of tours and appearances, and produced a successful discography including their new album, "I'll Find a Way."

The Chris Eger Band opens the show.
