'Despicable Me 2' opens series of free outdoor flicks in Birchwood

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJuly 9, 2014

Bellingham's Birchwood Neighborhood hosts the second annual Birchwood Drive-In movies on Friday, July 11, featuring "Despicable Me 2," and "Back to the Future" on Aug. 8. The free Friday night events are a throwback to the classic drive-in.

The movies will be shown in the Park Manor parking lot in front of Big Lots and Albertson's, at Birchwood and Northwest avenues.

Epic Events will provide a 40-foot outdoor movie screen, projection, audio, and FM transmission, so people can listen in their cars or sit outside under the stars. Movies begin at 8 p.m.
