Backs Van Werven for 42nd District

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJuly 8, 2014

I believe Luanne Van Werven is the most qualified to fill the post for the open state house seat in the 42nd District. She has been involved in politics since 1990 when she was appointed to the Whatcom Youth Advisory Committee by the mayor of Lynden. For the past 20 years she has worked tirelessly to get many in the community involved in the political process and has been instrumental in getting people elected. In addition to her local involvement, Luanne has served as a citizen activist fighting for our Whatcom County values in Olympia. She worked in a bi-partisan fashion while staying true to her convictions which rendered effective results. Some of Luanne's accomplishments include respecting people's privacy by preventing banks and insurance companies from sharing consumers' private information. She also helped limit the expansion of casino-style gambling in Washington State. Vote for Luanne Van Werven as I believe she is the best choice to represent us and our shared values in Olympia.
