Bells continue strong run


The Bellingham Bells exploded in the seventh inning for seven runs in an 8-2 West Coast League victory Monday, July 7, at home over the Kitsap BlueJackets to increase their winning streak to 11 games.

In the seventh, Scott Heath and Dustin Breshears both doubled in two runs, Dallas Carroll and Nate Anderson were both hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in runs and Colby Woodmansee singled in a run.

Walker Olis doubled in a run in the sixth inning and the Bells improved to 19-5 on the season.

Zach Johnson earned the win, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four in five innings of work.
