Maple Falls man injured in crash on Kendall Road

A Maple Falls man was injured Monday morning, July 7 when his SUV crashed into a tree along Kendall Road in Peaceful Valley, about 26 miles northwest of Bellingham.

Jason E. Jones, 40, was in satisfactory condition at St. Joseph Hospital after his 1991 Toyota 4Runner drifted off the roadway to the right and struck a tree along Kendall Road, near Shamrock Road, about 6:14 a.m. Monday. He was wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Drug or alcohol was not involved, according to the Washington State Patrol.
