Roadwork to cause delays north of Bellingham

Drivers are advised to take alternate routes Monday, July 7, through Thursday, July 10, when crews lay asphalt on some Whatcom County roads in preparation for chip sealing.

Crews will work 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. those days on Waschke Road, Aldrich Road, Clarkson Lane, Lingbloom Road, Kent Drive, Laine Court, Gerard Drive, West Axton Road, Paradise Road, Neevel Road, Piper Road, Woodlyn Road, Lattimore Road and West Pole Road.

The 974 miles of county roads are chip sealed on a seven-year cycle as part of regular maintenance.
