Metro Parks’ Run to the Top adds kids run to July 4 race

Run to the Top, a challenging 5-kilomter race sponsored by Metro Parks Tacoma and South Sound Running, is adding a 1-mile kids runs for this year’s race.

The race is July 12 at McKinley Park.

Metro Parks, which stages a race each month, describes the race as “one of our most challenging events.

The kids race will be one loop from the bottom to the top of the park and back. The kids Dash starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K is at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $15 for kids and $25 for adults and includes a shirt. For more information visit metroparkstacoma.org/races.
