Bells win ninth straight game


Walker Olis singled in the winning run with two outs in the top of the ninth inning, and the Bellingham Bells earned a 7-6 West Coast League victory Wednesday, July 2, at Wenatchee to extend their winning streak to nine games.

The Bells had to rebound after giving up six runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Eric Webber sacrificed in a run in the seventh for the Bells, and Dustin Breshears and Nate Anderson each had RBI singles.

In the eighth inning, Dylan Garcia, Webber and Breshears each singled in runs.

Eder Erives gave up three hits and no runs in seven innings of work to get a no-decision. David Bigelow pitched 1 1/3 innings to earn the victory.
