Heavy machinery on Greenbelt near 30th Street bridge on Thursday

July 2, 2014

Crews from the Boise Parks & Recreation Department will be doing work on Boise River Park equipment beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Flaggers will be stationed on the Garden City side of the Greenbelt, on the south side of the Boise River to notify and assist Greenbelt users. The work will take place south of the 30th Street pedestrian bridge.

Parks department officials urge Greenbelt users to be cautious around the equipment.

In mid-August, a section of the Greenbelt on the north side of the river will be closed for two months as crews remove the asphalt path and replace it with a more durable concrete surface.

The work will take place from Riverside Park, where the Idaho Fallen Firefighter Memorial Park is located at 1775 W. Shoreline Dr., west to the Fairview Avenue underpass.
