CHINOOK SALMON STOCKED IN BOISE RIVER WEDNESDAY

The salmon were released at Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge and Barber Park. To keep salmon anglers catch, they must have an Idaho fishing license and a salmon permit. For bag limits and other rules pertaining to salmon fishing, go to fishandgame.idaho.gov.

FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL ON FOREST SERVICE LAND

Boise National Forest officials remind people it is illegal to possess or use fireworks on its lands. Fines are $5,000 and/or up to 6 months in jail. With hotter weather also comes higher fire danger. Even with a normal snowpack at the end of the winter, conditions throughout the national forest are quickly drying. Forest Service officials urge recreationists to be careful with all fire, including campfires. Keep a bucket of water and a shovel handy during summer.

HAGERMAN WMA PONDS OPEN FOR SALVAGE FISHING

West Highway Pond and Anderson ponds No. 3 and 4 are open for salvage fishing through Sept. 30. Bag, possession and size limits are removed for all species except white sturgeon. The ponds have been overrun with carp, and all fish will be eliminated from the waters so they can be restocked with game fish.

HENRYS LAKE STATE PARK ADDS MORE CAMPSITES

The number of campsites at the popular park, located 15 miles west of Yellowstone National Park and known for its world-class trout fishing, were increased from 44 to 83, including three ADA campsites. Make reservations at parksandrecreation.idaho.gov.
