Dinger, the Bellingham Bells mascot loves to read almost as much as he loves to play baseball, plans to visit Village Books, 1200 11th St., during the Fourth of July weekend to pick up some new books and make some new friends.

He will be at the store from 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, for photo opportunities, a few stories, and maybe an activity or two. Wear your Bells colors and support the local team.
