WWU students perform 'commedia' in Maritime Heritage Park


Western Washington University theater students enrolled in the summer advanced acting topics course taught by Rich Brown will perform "commedia" at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 3-5, at Maritime Heritage Park, 514 W. Holly St.

Commedia are masked comic and highly physical performances that originate from the Italian Renaissance and features well-known stock characters, such as tricky servants, young lovers and foolish old men.

The performances are free and family-friendly.
