Johnson leads Bells to seventh straight win


Bellingham starting pitcher Zach Johnson dominated on the mound as the Bells got out to an early lead and won 8-1 on Monday, June 30, at Wenatchee in West Coast League action.

Johnson gave up three hits and no runs and struck out seven in six innings for the win as Bellingham earned its seventh consecutive victory.

The Bells had RBI doubles by Dallas Carroll, Scott Heath, Dylan Garcia and Dustin Breshears in a six run first inning, and Garcia and Breshears scored on errors in the same inning.

Walker Olis singled in a run in the seventh and Heath sacrificed in a run later in the inning.
