Pickford series honors Chaplin's 'Tramp' character

Pickford Film Center, 1318 Bay St., is celebrating the first appearance of Charlie Chaplin's "Tramp" character in 1914 with a feast of his films, Saturday, July 5, through Aug. 23, 2014 in Bellingham.

Pickford Film Center, 1318 Bay St., is celebrating the first appearance of Charlie Chaplin's "Tramp" character in 1914 with a feast of his films, Saturday, July 5, through Aug. 23.

Admission is $8.50 general, $7.25 Pickford members, and $5 for kids 12 and younger. The schedule:

"The Kid" and "A Dog's Life," Saturday, July 5.

Chaplin shorts, "Pay Day," "Sunnyside" and "Idle Class," July 12.

"The Gold Rush," July 19.

"The Great Dictator," Aug. 9

"Monsieur Verdoux," Aug. 16

"Limelight," Aug. 23.
