Outdoors gear: Medical kits

The situation: Hunters and anglers often find themselves in locations far from help should a medical emergency arise.

A solution: Adventure Medical Kits has developed its Sportsman series with kits specifically designed for hunters and fishermen. The contents are geared to the types of injuries most often sustained doing these activities and are available to accommodate larger groups and longer excursions.

The details: Each kit features the company’s Easy Access Pocket System. All you have to do is open the kit, fold out the clearly labeled pockets and at a glance choose and open the one you need. The kits also come with treatment instructions inside each injury compartment.

Cost: The kits range in price from $25-$125.

Availability: Kits can be found at Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, REI and other retailers, or online at adventuremedicalkits.com.
