FISHING: Angler will share his do-it-yourself tips

June 29, 2014

LeeRoy Wisner will give a presentation on “Do it Yourself Fishing Tips and Tricks” at Thursday’s meeting of the South Sound Chapter of Puget Sound Anglers.

Wisner, a longtime chapter member, has extensive experience fishing the lakes, rivers and saltwater around the state. He shares what he has learned on his website, leeroysramblings.com.

His presentation will include a show and tell on topics including making your own lures, modifying existing lures, how to protect cork handles on fishing rods, increasing your chances of netting a salmon solo when fishing alone and installing LED trailer lights.

The meeting will be held at the Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey. The general meeting starts at 7 p.m., with Wisner’s presentation at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
