500 bicyclists expected on Chuckanut Drive, downtown Bellingham Saturday

BELLINGHAM - Drivers can expect extra traffic on Saturday, June 28, as a group of 500 cyclists make their way from Chuckanut Drive through Fairhaven into downtown Bellingham.

Cyclists will be departing from Redmond at 7:30 a.m. and are expected to arrive at Boundary Bay Brewery around 6:30 p.m.

The bicyclists are taking part in Red-Bell 100, a charity ride organized by Cascade Bicycle Club to benefit the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation and World Bicycle Relief. Red-Bell 100 has raised more than $100,000.
