Bellingham invites ideas for Whatcom Waterway Park

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 22, 2014

BELLINGHAM - The public is invited to discuss design ideas for Whatcom Waterway Park at an open house at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, in the Bellingham Public Library lecture room, 210 Central Ave.

The city parks department will present background details on the project and show some design options to start the conversation.

People are welcome to ask questions and provide input for the former industrial site, which the city and Port of Bellingham are working to clean up for development.

The park will be accessible through Central Avenue and likely via an entryway to the waterfront district that is planned near the Granary building.

Details: Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department, 360-778-7000.
