Seattle's Del Rey, famous for her resonator guitar and ukulele work, teams up with Suzy Thompson of Berkeley, Calif., known for her emotionally charged blues fiddling and vocals, at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the YWCA ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St. in Bellingham.

Seattle's Del Rey, famous for her resonator guitar and ukulele work, teams up with Suzy Thompson of Berkeley, Calif., known for her emotionally charged blues fiddling and vocals, at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the YWCA ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St.

Together, they channel the spirits of Memphis Minnie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bessie Smith and other blues icons. The women have worked with Maria Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, Geoff Muldaur, Laurie Lewis and Peter Rowan.
