BA~CON 2014, the fifth annual Bellingham Anime and Cosplay Mini-Con, is free from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 22, in the lower level of the Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave.

A dance party is planned for 5-6 p.m.

Although the event is for all ages, its focus is on youths aged 12-18.

Events include a timed and themed art contest, cosplay panels, cosplay pageants, three themed meet-ups and photo shoots, plus a reading room and a "peace-bonding station" and Artists Alley of items for sale.

Costumes (cosplay) are encouraged, but not required. Costumes should also be appropriate for all ages.
