Medcalf boys play well at Drive, Chip and Putt competition

Jordan Medcalf of Lynden won the boys’ 10- to 11-year-old division at the Drive, Chip and Putt qualifier Tuesday, June 17, at Lake Padden Golf Course to advance to the subregional qualifying, which will be on Aug. 27, at Kayak Point Golf Course in Stanwood.

The top three in each difision advance.

Medcalf had an overall score of 128 (42 points for first in driving and 55 for a tie for first in putting) to advance.

Logan Medcalf of Lynden also advanced by finishing third in the boys’ 7-9 group with a score of 101, finishing second in driving with 31 points.

Madison Hogan of Bellingham won the girls 10-11 division in chipping with 21 points, Zachary Nolan of Bellingham won the boys’ 14-15 division in chipping with 45 points and Ty Hagen of Everson won the boys’ 10-11 division in putting with a score of 55.
