Mike Marker to perform at downtown Co-op and Kulshan Brewing

Mike Marker, a folk singer and storyteller who has played with Malvina Reynolds, Utah Phillips and Pete Seeger, performs from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Community Food Co-op downtown, 1220 N. Forest St. in Bellingham. He also will play at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Kulshan Brewing Co., 2238 James St.

Mike Marker, who has performed with Malvina Reynolds, Utah Phillips and Pete Seeger at venues across North America, England, Scotland and Ireland, performs from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Community Food Co-op downtown, 1220 N. Forest St.

Marker, a banjo player, singer and storyteller, is a songwriter and arranger of country blues, old-time Southern mountain music, and modern songs from the folk tradition.

He also will play at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Kulshan Brewing Co., 2238 James St.

Both events are free.
