2013 saw the launch of Aoife (pronounced "ee-fuh") O'Donovan's solo career, the culmination of a decade playing in progressive string band Crooked Still and with folk-noir trio Sometymes Why, and as the vocalist on the Grammy-winning album "The Goat Rodeo Sessions" with Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Thile, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan.

Songwriter Kristin Andreassen toured the world with Rounder Records' string band Uncle Earl, and, as with O'Donovan, Sometymes Why, plus with the traditional percussive dance ensemble Footworks before embarking on her solo career.

The two perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Green Frog, 1015 N. State St. Cover is $12.
