EDUCATION: Fly casting will be topic of women’s retreat

Trout Unlimited will host a free fly casting retreat for women Saturday in Lacey.

After working with volunteer instructors during the first part of the day, particpants will put those skills to use on the water.

The retreat will be held on Hicks Lake at the Gwinwood Conference Grounds, 6015 30th Ave. SE, Lacey. The event will run from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There also will be a barbecue lunch.

Participants will need to have a valid Washington fishing license to fish on the lake.
