Post 7 loses on the road

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 11, 2014

The Bellingham Post 7 AAA Legion baseball team collapsed late to lose to Lakeside Recovery 9-5 on Wednesday, June 11, at Newport High School.

Post 7 was leading 5-0 after the top of the fifth inning but fell apart.

"They're a good club and they started hitting us," Post 7 coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview. "We needed to keep adding on runs, for sure. We were sleepwalking through the end of the game and you can't do that against a team like that."

Post 7 has a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Garfield.
