Backs efforts to stop climate change

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 11, 2014

I wish to heartily applaud both President Barack Obama and Gov. Jay Inslee in their historical moves forward in addressing climate change by closing coal-fired plants and reducing carbon emissions.

The next important steps are for legislature to fully deny permits to the proposed Gateway Pacific Terminal at Cherry Point, stop dangerous coal and oil trains from threatening our communities, and for citizens in the 42nd District of Whatcom County fully support Seth Fleetwood for Washington State Senate.

This is completely doable, so let's make it happen!
