Back from Europe, Blind Willies bring eclectic music to Green Frog

The Americana band Blind Willies, led by singer and songwriter Alexei Wajchman, will play in support of their new album, "Every Day Is Judgment Day," at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Green Frog, 1015 N. State St.

The Americana band Blind Willies, led by singer and songwriter Alexei Wajchman, began at San Francisco's High School of the Arts as a duo playing covers of American folk songs and Wajchman's originals, which he began writing when he was 15.

Now five musicians - Wajchmanon vocals, guitar and harmonica; Misha Khalikulov on cello; Daniel Riera on bass and flute; Max Miller on Loran keys and trumpet; and Alex Nash on drums -the band's music covers Appalachian folk, blues, punk, gospel, jazz, soul, cabaret, and rock 'n' roll.

They recently returned from their first European tour and will play in support of their new album, "Every Day Is Judgment Day," at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Green Frog, 1015 N. State St.
