Bells open season with win


The Bellingham Bells opened their 2014 West Coast League season with an 11-3 win Friday, June 6, at Walla Walla.

Nate Anderson doubled in two runs in the second inning for the Bells.

Ian Yetsko and Danny Miller each knocked in a run in the fourth before Aaron Stroosma had a two run triple and then scored on a wild pitch.

Dustin Breshears sacrificed in a run in the fifth and Anderson scored on a wild pitch in the seventh before Scott Heath and Dallas Carroll each singled in runs.

Bells starting pitcher Aaron Sandefur gave up four hits and two runs in four innings of work for the win.

The Sweets host the Bells again at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, June 7.
