Say Social Security critical to many

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 4, 2014

The upcoming November elections will no doubt feature many issues of interest, but none more important to preserving the social fabric than the future of Social Security. This program makes a critical difference for many in our country who are otherwise without the wherewithal to survive financially. This includes those with significant disabilities, retired workers with insufficient pensions and savings, children and spouses after the death of a parent/spouse. Ensuring that Social Security continues and is strengthened is a priority. Learn more about how Social Security functions and can be preserved by attending a forum at The Syre Center, Whatcom Community College, Thursday, June 5 at 7:30.
