A large group invitational, "Sky," at the Smith | Vallee Gallery, 5742 Gilkey Ave. in Edison, focuses on the subject matter of the ever-changing sky of the Pacific Northwest.

This exhibition, which opens with a public reception for the artists from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 7, captures each artist's unique way of looking at the expansive sky and translating their elucidation on to canvas, paper, clay or whatever materials they find necessary to describe their interpretation. The show runs through June 29.
