Author to discuss book about cougars at June 7 reading


Village Books and North Cascades Institute host author Paula Wild as a guest in the Nature of Writing Series. She will share her book, "The Cougar: Beautiful, Wild and Dangerous," at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the bookstore, 1200 11th St.

In her book, Wild uses a blend of natural history, scientific research and first-hand accounts to explore our evolving relationship with the enigmatic predator. Admission is free. Details: 360-671-2626.
