Nashville songwriter Chuck Mead comes to Green Frog

Singer and guitarist Chuck Mead performs at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Green Frog, 1015 N. State St., in support of his debut album, "Free State Serenade," a wild ride of hillbilly blues and honky-tonk.

Mead is well known for his work as frontman for Nashville country band BR549. "Free State Serenade," with songs based on stories and legends from Mead's formative years in Kansas, was recorded with his longtime band The Grassy Knoll Boys.
