United lose two over weekend

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 2, 2014

The return to Civic Stadium for the first time in weeks proved to be unrewarding for Bellingham United, as they fell to the Vancouver Victory 5-1. This was the second meeting between the two teams this year. The Hammers won the first contest 2-0.

Vancouver's Borca Atanasov scored two goals and added two assists for the Victory.

The Hammers' lone goal was scored by Tony Clarke.

In the second game of the two-game weekend, the Hammers couldn't erase the bad loss, as they once again fell - this time, 2-1 to the South Sound Shock on Sunday, June 1.

United's only goal on Sunday came from Tyler Bjork on a penalty kick.
