Dan Brubeck, son of the legendary pianist and composer Dave Brubeck, will play with a quartet in a concert of songs written by his father and with lyrics by his mother, poet Iola Brubeck, at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn, 8 Barnview Court (gate 2).

Dan Brubeck, son of the legendary pianist and composer Dave Brubeck, will play with a quartet in a concert of songs written by his father and with lyrics by his mother, poet Iola Brubeck, at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn, 8 Barnview Court (gate 2).

Dan played extensively with his father, and has been part of the various Brubeck bands.

A featured soloist with many symphony orchestras who's played at top jazz festivals in the U.S. and Europe, he's joined by Adam Thomas on bass and vocals, Tony Fraser on piano and Mike Allen on saxophone.

The Sudden Valley Jazz Series is a fundraiser sponsored by the Sudden Valley Friends of the Library to benefit the South Whatcom Library.
