Exhibit honors Bellingham music photographer Gunther Frank

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 31, 2014

Gunther Jose Frank, who died in June 2009 at age 35, was a photographer in Bellingham between 1996 up to the time he died. He photographed performances by hundreds of musicians and bands. The subjects and settings varied widely, but they all contained a sense of spontaneity, excitement and raw emotion.

This exhibit "Rembering Gunther," opening at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, during the monthly Downtown Art Walk at Make.Shift Art Space, 306 Flora St., will feature Frank's photographs of live music in Bellingham.
