Poole earns IBL Player of the Week award

Bellingham Slam center Blake Poole earned the IBL Player of the Week award for last week's efforts.

Poole combined for 43 points and posted consecutive double-doubles in home games against the Seattle Flight and the Olympia Reign.

The Bellingham Slam needed an all-star performance from center Blake Poole in order to defend home court in a pair of games last weekend, and that is exactly what they got from the talented big man from Saint Martin's University in his fourth season with the Slam.

In the win over the Flight, Poole came one assist shy of a triple-double with 22 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists.

Poole was back on the floor the next night, leading the Slam over the Reign with 21 points, 17 rebounds and career-high six steals.
